Kanandah Retirement Ltd is one of the leading accredited aged care providers in Mudgee, NSW. Kanandah is rapidly growing not-for-profit company, with new wing completion to meet the residential care demand for up-to 96 residents. As the company is expanding, we have various opportunities opening for the candidates seeking to enhance their skills and experience. Kanandah employs more than 107 team members who provide care and services to the residents 24 hours a day. Qualifications & experience
- Extensive experience in managing a team with sound leadership skills and the capacity to support change management initiatives.
- Satisfactory level of computer proficiency to record accurate resident documentation.
- High level of expertise and experience of the aged care accreditation standards
- Experience and knowledge of AN-ACC assessment guidelines and procedures.
- A high level of motivation, passion, empathy and drive to ensure superior clinical outcomes are met for all our residents
- Must have AHPRA registration and Federal Police Check
- Sound knowledge of clinical reporting obligations to the senior management and board
- Have 5 years of work experience in similar role
Tasks & responsibilities
- Work closely with Kanandah management to ensure exemplary clinical care is delivered to up-to 96 residents through direct oversight
- Work closely with the clinical team in the development of care plans that support the well-being of residents.
- Drive the clinical care quality improvement program to ensure the delivery of resident focused clinical care.
- Have sound technical nursing skills, clinical knowledge and clinical assessment skills
- Be responsible for the quality of the clinical service provided and the overall service satisfaction levels inclusive of the complaints process
- Ensure appropriate and detailed documentation is updated on a regular basis in line with AN-ACC guidelines and processes as well as the Aged Care accreditation standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with residents, family member, team members, management and medical professionals.
- Be flexible with work hours and willing to work on call shifts as required.
