Role impact & contribution
The Senior Advisor, Governance manages the development, implementation and delivery of functional programs of work in procurement governance areas including risk, compliance, privacy, complaints, business continuity, policy and programs and evaluations and provides support to key stakeholders to support the delivery of organisational and NSW Government objectives.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Provide expert procurement advice and information to relevant government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of procurement policies and directions by agencies, to support informed decision making.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating their engagement in, and contribution to collaborative meetings to inform and support procurement development and decision making.
- Prepare and contribute to accurate and relevant strategic plans, committee papers, briefings, publications and reports including analysis and recommendations on governance activities and initiatives to respond to Agency and/or Government requests to expected standards.
- Implement approved initiatives in the governance space to align with Government priorities.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation of new governance initiatives, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, insights, challenges, industry trends and practices and opportunities to recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes and contribute to a best practice governance function in line with organisational and government priorities
- Be a part of a governance team that provides Goods and Services Accreditation (Accreditation) advice and information to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the new accreditation applications, and ongoing management and reporting to the Procurement Board in line with accreditation requirements
- Provide secretariat support to governance committees, leadership groups and key stakeholders including preparation of agenda and minutes, and the coordination and quality of papers.
- Maintain an understanding of stakeholder priorities and challenges and contribute to the translation of them into measurable governance solutions and services to meet stakeholder needs and organisational priorities

Eligibility
