The Role - A Day in the Life of Scape’s Facilities Manager

As our Facilities Manager, you’ll take charge of maintenance operations, compliance, and asset management across a portfolio of Scape properties. You’ll collaborate with contractors, internal teams, and key stakeholders to ensure our buildings remain best-in-class, creating safe and welcoming environments for our residents.

No two days are the same at Scape, but here’s a taste of what your day could look like:

• Oversee programmed and reactive maintenance, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, health & safety regulations and action updates as required.
• Manage defect, liability, and warranty issues across a number of properties.
• Lead a team of Facilities staff, providing coaching and support to drive performance.
• Work with the Regional Facilities Manager on financial planning and budgeting.
• Administer Facilities Management software, including asset and contractor management.
• Collaborate on the strategic direction of Facilities, ensuring we stay ahead of industry challenges

You’re a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining high standards. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, where no two days are the same, and love finding solutions to complex challenges.

Here’s what sets you apart:

• You have 3+ years of experience as a Facilities Manager in a similar role.
• You’re highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects at once.
• You have strong contractor management skills, ensuring quality service delivery.
• You can identify and troubleshoot issues before they become problems.
• You have excellent communication skills and work well in both team and independent settings.
• You understand building compliance, statutory obligations, and health & safety regulations.
• You have experience managing defects, liability periods, and new building handovers.
