ABOUT THE ROLE

Established in 2006, Advanced Energy Resources is expanding its renewable energy generation portfolio and commercial/industrial electrical maintenance divisions. Our depots are located in Neerabup and Dandaragan.

We require an experienced electrician/electrical service technician to join our team in a permanent, long term role undertaking electrical maintenance in the renewable energy, mining and commercial/industrial sectors.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a WA “A” Grade Electrical trade qualification, minimum 3 years experience
• Be based in the Mid-West region (Lancelin to Green Head, Dandaragan/Moora), or northern Perth metro area
• Be capable of fault-finding electrical equipment and systems
• Be fit and able to climb wind turbines when required
• Be flexible in your approach, and open to a diverse range of challenges
• Be comfortable working remotely for extended periods of time (1 – 2 weeks at a time)

Previous experience in the operation and maintenance of wind turbines is preferred.

Please note, that applicants must have suitable electrical trade qualifications and must reside in Australia.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

The following are required for this role:

• WA “A” Grade Electrical trade qualification is required
• WA Driver’s License
• Australian citizen or resident

The following experience and/or qualifications will be highly regarded:

• Experience in the wind industry, particularly with Enercon or Vestas wind turbines
• HV switching qualifications
• Working at heights, rescue or GWO training
• Rigging or crane experience

AER, through its related entity Energy and Site Services also provides electrical maintenance to industrial and agricultural facilities, mining, borefields and electricity generation assets (including wind, solar, battery and diesel systems).

AER owns, operates and maintains a number of wind and solar microgrids and generation assets on the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), between Kalbarri and Albany, including:
