Key Responsibilities:

• As a Maintenance Electrician you will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.
• This Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• The Maintenance Electrician will conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and testing of electrical systems and components.
• This Maintenance Electrician will install, upgrade, and modify electrical equipment and machinery to improve plant efficiency and safety.
• As the Maintenance Electrician you will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure all electrical systems are operating to required standards.
• This Maintenance Electrician will ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, electrical codes, and food safety regulations.
• This Maintenance Electrician will maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• The Maintenance Electrician will assist in the planning and execution of scheduled shutdowns and equipment overhauls.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations, reduce downtime, and increase reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Electrical Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, ideally within the food manufacturing or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and controls.
• Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical faults.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues promptly.
