The Role:
Our Nursery Assistants are the face of our business, helping customers find exactly what they need, offering expert advice, and making sure every visit is a great experience. From plant care to pest control tips, you’ll have the opportunity to share your plant knowledge while learning new things every day. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on role where your enthusiasm and customer service skills will shine! We’re hiring for multiple positions, ranging from casual to full-time, and for various levels of experience – whether you’re just starting out or have years of expertise, we’d love to have you on board.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for horticulture and gardening.
- Previous experience in a nursery or retail environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Some plant identification knowledge is great, and a willingness to learn more is a must!
- Ability to spot common pests and diseases.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Attention to detail and an eye for keeping things neat and tidy.
- Physical fitness to handle outdoor tasks and manual work (lifting, watering, etc.).
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
- A drive to hit personal sales KPIs and take initiative.
Extra Points If You Have:
- Horticulture certificates (not essential, but a big bonus!).
