About the role:
The Aged Care and Disability Services (ACDS) Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of the service and supporting the implementation of individualised person centered care services to assist clients/participants of East Arnhem Land to live safely and independently in their homes, remaining connected to country and family.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- Must hold a minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Aging and/or Disability), or the
willingness obtain within the first 3 months of employment. - A Diploma of Leadership and Management, or the willingness to obtain within the first
18 months of employment. - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aged Care and NDIS legislation,
program guidelines and person-centred care management principles, with the proven
ability to embed these into practical service delivery. - Possess sound knowledge and understanding of all Aged Care and NDIS standards,
program guidelines and scopes of practice through a consumer directed care lens. - Effective time management with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to
changing environments. - Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including effective stakeholder engagement, active listening and experience in navigating conflict and challenging situations.
- Proven ability to assess complex problems, develop a range of options and to make recommendations for solutions using creative and critical thinking.
- Previous experience supervising staff/small teams.
- The ability to work with and foster teams that are inclusive and free to exchange ideas and actively contribute towards achieving service objectives.
- Experience in the use of aged care and disability electronic platforms, client management systems and relative Government portals.
- Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, and experience in electronic client management systems and databases.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage data collection, complete documentation and to meet required deadlines.
- Must hold a current C Class Driver’s license.
It would be desirable if you also possessed:
- First Aid and CPR qualifications, or the willingness to obtain.
- Hold a food safety qualification, or the willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience living and/or working in remote Australian First Nations’ communities.
- Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a multi-cultural workplace.
- Awareness of issues affecting First Nations People in Australia.
All employment with EARC is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position.
Employment within EARC’s Aged Care and Disability Services is also subject to the ability to obtain and maintain a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

What you'll get in return:
Full Time Permanent employment.
Level 6 - Salary $90,678 - $96,200 (excluding super and locality allowance) with annual wage increase opportunities built into our EBA.
You will also benefit from 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
