Petersham Family Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Medical Receptionist to join its dynamic and professional team. You will require advanced communication and computer skills to work as part of our team. As a medical receptionist, you will ensure our patients and visitors to the practice will receive a timely and professional service. Your bright and bubbly personality ensures you will always be willing to put the patient first.

Hours and Days:

9am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Summary of duties:

• work autonomously but also work well within the existing team.
• assisting with managing day to day running of the practice
• answering of telephone calls and perform reception duties
• deal with in person, online and telephone enquiries
• manage and maintain stationery, printer, staff kitchen supplies, medical equipment and consumables
• manage the mail
• calling patients for follow-ups if necessary
• listen and respond to overnight voice mail
• make calls to clients/suppliers etc as required by the practice
• participate in external events by mutual agreement with management
• assist GPs as necessary
• assist accounts and payroll related matters
• support business development activities
• assist in maintaining a professional, safe and friendly work environment
• any other administrative and practice maintenance duties as required by the practice to ensure smooth running and development of the practice

Remuneration:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be discussed prior to final appointment.
