About the Role
This dynamic role blends tender bidding expertise with hands-on business development, requiring a candidate who can excel in sourcing tender opportunities, building client relationships, and driving project completion to high standards. You’ll represent our business on the road, meeting clients, monitoring project outcomes, and negotiating to secure win-win partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure tender opportunities through government and commercial channels.
- Prepare, proof-read, and submit compelling tender responses (RFTs, EOIs, RFPs) in line with government and industry standards.
- Actively engage in business development by visiting clients, building relationships, and expanding our market footprint.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable product delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and operational teams to align client needs with business capabilities.
- Monitor project execution to ensure completion meets client standards and expectations.
- Conduct face-to-face on-site client negotiations to strengthen partnerships and resolve issues effectively.
- Manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines with a results-driven approach.
What We’re Looking For
- Only candidates based in Australia will be considered.
- Applicants must have valid Australian work rights (e.g., PR, citizenship, or a valid work visa).
- At least 1 year of experience in Australian government tendering, with a focus on business development or sales.
- Strong expertise in client engagement, relationship building, and on-site negotiations.
- Proven experience in commercial and hospitality supply chains is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly for client visits and project monitoring.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of thriving under pressure with tight deadlines.
