Key Responsibilities
Environmental Monitoring
- Take ownership of sourcing, building, and maintaining cutting-edge monitoring equipment for noise, dust, vibration, gas, geotechnical, and water monitoring projects.
- Conduct hands-on fieldwork, ensuring equipment is operating at peak performance through regular calibration and maintenance.
- Manage and analyse critical environmental data, contributing to informed decision-making for sustainable site management.
Occupational Hygiene
- Conduct essential occupational hygiene monitoring to protect workplaces and communities.
- Conduct airborne fibre monitoring and clearance inspections associated with asbestos removal work.
- Provide accurate data and insights to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain and calibrate specialised occupational monitoring instruments to ensure reliable data collection.
General
- Ensure high standards in managing ENVSS data systems.
- Collaborate closely with technical experts and project teams, gaining exposure to diverse projects.
- Identify process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to expand your skills and grow/

Ideal Candidate
- Highly detail-oriented with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
- Experience in environmental monitoring, occupational hygiene, work health and safety, or a related field.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently, remotely, and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Comfort with working in diverse environmental conditions and occasional travel.
- Proven capability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Commitment to enhancing operational systems and processes.
- Strong safety focus with skills in hazard identification and risk management.
- A valid driving license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fieldwork experience, preferably in environmental or occupational hygiene monitoring.
- A background in Health Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical qualifications.
- Additional assets include an MR truck license, coding experience (Python, AWS), basic mechanical and electrical/electronics skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
