A leading Australia-wide engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior HV & Power Systems Engineer to join their national team. This employee-owned company offers a full range of specialist engineering services across multiple sectors and has a proven track record in delivering large-scale multi-discipline projects and niche assignments.

• Location: Melbourne-based
• Salary: Up to $240,000 for Director-level candidates
• Position: Senior to Director level

Role Overview:
As a Senior HV & Power Systems Engineer, you will provide HV systems modelling, protection studies, earthing designs, and technical advice for private HV networks, solar farms, and battery energy storage systems. You'll contribute to the design, documentation, and contract administration of HV and Power Systems engineering projects, including energy infrastructure such as HV network design, HV distribution systems, and grid connection studies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a national team of HV and Power Systems Engineers
• Conduct power system studies, including grid connection, enhanced transient analysis, load flow, protection settings, and earthing studies
• Provide technical support for HV and Power Systems projects
• Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, and safe working practices
• Liaise with other department engineers and drafters
• Participate in technical reviews of procurement and construction contract packages
• Manage costs associated with allocated project work

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent recognized by Engineers Australia (CPEng highly regarded)
• Extensive experience in engineering consultancy or equivalent
• Proficiency in HV modelling packages (e.g., ETAP, Digsilent Power Factory, SKM Power tools)
• Experience with earthing design and simulation software (e.g., CDEGS)
• Strong collaboration and project coordination skills
• Experience in built environment and social infrastructure sectors
• High-level project management and technical ability in the electrical discipline
• Australian citizenship (for defence clearance eligibility)
