Kinexus have partnered with a Sydney-based Defence SME in their search for a Signal Processing Engineer to work on a number of projects across Defence R&D and existing product variants for global customers. Technology you will work on includes naval sensors, hydrophones, signal processing technology (image processing, audio processing, digital signals, etc) and tracking algorithms.

This is a permanent position based in Sydney, with up to 2 days working from home, which also requires you to be eligible for NV1 security clearance (meaning you must have Australian Citizenship).

Acoustics/Algortihms and Software Engineering (3+ years experience)

• Signal processing experience (image processing, audio processing and digital signals).
• Sensor and hydrophone knowledge
• Basic tracking algorithms
• Python scripting experience
• C++ software development experience deploying to Windows/Linux

AI/ML and Software Engineering (3+ years experience)

• PyTorch and TensorFlow experience (along with related Python skills in data engineering and AI/ML)
• Experience in data wrangling/hygiene across domains
• Experience implmenting and training AI/ML models
• C++ software development experience deploying to Windows/Linux
