Oncology Pharmacist – Full-time Position at Southwest Hospital Pharmacy
Location: St John of God Bunbury Hospital, South West Health Campus
Southwest Hospital Pharmacy is a renowned and unique pharmacy located within the South West Health Campus, serving the needs of St John of God Bunbury Hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Oncology Pharmacist to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
As an Oncology Pharmacist, your primary focus will be on providing expert pharmacy services to oncology patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sterile Compounding: Daily preparation of both cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic medications.
- Collaboration: Working closely with oncologists, haematologists, and other healthcare professionals within the Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
- Clinical Review & Chart Entry: Reviewing and entering chemotherapy charts and validating each dose against current protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Dispensing & Counselling: Being part of an highly-regarded, dynamic pharmacy service to inpatients, outpatients, and community patients.
You will be part of a supportive and exceptionally competent team that includes experienced pharmacists, technicians, and interns, ensuring a collaborative and professional work environment.
Position Details
- Full-time, Permanent Role
- Rotational Weekend and On-call Duties: Typically one in six weekends (Saturday 9 am-2 pm, Sunday 9 am-12 pm).
- Reporting to: Directors of Pharmacy.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:
- Be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Possess strong pharmacy knowledge and clinical skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-focused care.
