Construction Senior Associate or Special Counsel

About the role:

• Contentious construction law, construction arbitration, and renewable energy disputes, including:
• Major security of payment disputes for construction companies.
• Dispute avoidance strategies for a global wind developer.
• Construction contract disputes in the Supreme Court of NSW.
• Adjudications in the water sector.
• Other complex and high-profile construction disputes.

The ideal candidate:

• You will have at least 7 years’ PQE in contentious construction law from a well-regarded firm (boutique specialist law firms considered) or an in-house environment).
• Education: Relevant Australian Legal Qualification/Admission (with at least an LLB average of 70 WAM)
• You should be willing to build and maintain successful relationships with blue-chip clients (business development and client relationship activities).
• Strong commercial nous, eye for detail and drafting and communication skills. Ability to run matters independently and supervise junior lawyers.
