Taurus is a privately owned and operated specialist mining supplier with various clients around Australia.

On behalf of one of our valued clients we are urgently seeking a Fixed Plant/Maintenance Fitter for a residential only roster.

This position is based in Mount Compass and would suit people living in the southern suburbs of Adelaide or Victor Harbour & surrounds.

This position is temp to perm which means it will be a Permanent Salaried position with our client after 3 months.

You will assist in carrying out routine mechanical maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of the wet & dry plant equipment, including but not limited to feeders, screens, pumps, pipes, agitators, conveyors & kiln.

As the plants run 24/7, you may have to come in on weekends or after hours if there is a major breakdown that needs urgent attention, however this is rare.

To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;

• A relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Proven experience in preventative and breakdown fixed plant maintenance
• Thorough maintenance understanding of processing equipment.
• Working at heights and confined space desirable
• First Aid desirable
• C Class Drivers license essential
• A commitment to your own safety and those who work with you.
• Successful candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test paid for by Taurus Recruitment.

What's in it for you?

• Monday to Friday roster with overtime on offer including some weekend and evening/night work.
• There is an expectation that you MAY have to come in on weekends or after hours if there is a major breakdown.
• Weekly pays with Taurus.
• Casual base rate of $50 per hour, plus full penalty rates.
• Permanent role on offer after labour hire period of 3 months.
