Job Title: Full-Time Occupational Therapist
Employer: PWA Rehab
Location: South East Melbourne
Caseload: Maximum 20
Role: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Commencement: May 2025

About PWA Rehab:
PWA Rehab, we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality therapy services to children and their families. Our team is passionate about creating positive outcomes for children with developmental and sensory needs, and we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic, supportive, and collaborative team in South East Melbourne. If you're passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at PWA Rehab, you’ll work with a varied caseload of up to 20, providing therapy for developmental delays, sensory challenges, motor skills issues, and more. In addition to a paediatric caseload, you will also have the opportunity to work with a community caseload, including some exposure to assistive technology (AT) and psychosocial disability. You will deliver tailored therapy sessions, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the professional development of junior team members. This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity to develop clinical expertise while working in a highly supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised therapy for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs. Conduct assessments and develop personalised therapy plans to meet each child's specific needs and goals. Work with a community caseload, gaining experience in assistive technology (AT) and psychosocial disability. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. Support junior team members, offering guidance and mentorship. Regularly review and adapt therapy plans to ensure progress and achieve the best outcomes. Participate in ongoing supervision and professional development opportunities. Incorporate telehealth services where applicable, enhancing therapy delivery for clients remotely.

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience + Superannuation + Expense coverage. Ongoing clinical supervision, support with session planning, and regular check-ins to ensure your success. A manageable caseload of up to 20, providing varied challenges and opportunities for professional growth. A collaborative and positive work environment where your ideas and feedback are valued. A supportive team culture that encourages learning, mentorship, and professional growth. Access to ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities. A family-friendly, inclusive workplace that prioritises staff and client wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:

A qualified Occupational Therapist with a degree (or equivalent qualification). Experience working with children with developmental, sensory, or motor challenges is preferred. Experience or interest in working with a community caseload, including exposure to assistive technology (AT) and psychosocial disability. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. A genuine passion for improving children's lives and helping them achieve their goals. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.

About You: We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and enjoys working in a collaborative, client-centred environment. If you're committed to using your skills to help children reach their full potential, we want to hear from you!

To Apply:
If you're ready to join a passionate team in a role that allows you to make a real impact, please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and passion for pediatric occupational therapy to [email protected].

Join PWA Rehab today and be part of a team that truly values your skills, knowledge, and commitment to improving the lives of children and families!
