About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Fitter Machinist to join our world-class team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 38 hours per week, plus plenty of overtime opportunities at time-and-a-half rates. You will be an essential part of our manufacturing process, machining components for our industry-leading pumping products.

Key Responsibilities:

• CNC Lathes & Mills
• Millturn machines (highly desirable)
• Manual machining equipment

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (Mori Seiki) with precision and efficiency.
• Operate various machines, including:
• Manufacture pump shafts, pump wear rings, adaptors, and other critical pump components to exact specifications.
• Machine parts to close tolerances (5-10 microns) to meet strict quality requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
• Ensure all work meets stringent quality control standards.
• Accurately interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
• Maintain meticulous records of work completed.

Who We Are Looking For

We want a results-driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in both independent and team-based environments. Ideally, you have experience in mining, heavy industry, or manufacturing and are looking for a new challenge in a leading global business.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant Trade Qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a CNC machining role.
• Extensive experience programming and operating Mori Seiki CNC lathes (highly desirable).
• Experience with Millturn machines (highly desirable).
• Fusion 360 programming experience (highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of precision machining principles and quality assurance.
• Ability to machine parts to close tolerances (5-10 microns).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Forklift License (advantageous).
• Strong computer and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Bathurst, NSW (international and interstate applicants welcome).
