About the role

Join the dynamic team at POOL PHYSICIANS PTY LTD' as a casual POOL Maintenance Technician in Cairns, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of residential and commercial swimming pools, ensuring they are safe, clean and functioning optimally for our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Performing regular inspections and maintenance on swimming pools, including cleaning, balancing chemical levels, and minor repairs
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting pool equipment issues, such as pumps, filters, and automation systems
• Providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and addressing any concerns
• Maintaining detailed records of all pool maintenance activities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a pool maintenance technician or similar role in the trades and services industry
• Strong technical skills in pool equipment repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of water chemistry and the ability to balance pool chemical levels
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid MANUAL driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Certification in pool maintenance or a related field would be highly advantageous

Position is Casual - Monday to Friday. Can lead to a Permanant full-time role for the right applicant.

$27.50

Initial training will include working side by side by one of our fully trained professionals learning the ins and outs before running your own run.

QLD Manual drivers licence is required.

Long term position. Local applicants only.

Ability to carry 20 kg bags of salt and must be physically fit.

Applicant must be a hard worker, proactive, reliable, honest, trustworthy, have good communication skills and work ethics. Uniform supplied.

Needs to be contactable, work well unsupervised and also as part of a team.

As this role includes extensive training it is suitable for permanent Australian Residents and Australian Citizens only.

Position is casual could lead to full time for the right candidate - Monday to Friday.

Hours generally7.00am - 3.30pm up 20- 30hours per week
