About the Role:
We are seeking an Independent Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBSP) to join our team on a contractor basis. This role offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing practitioners to manage their own workload while delivering professional behaviour support services.

As an Independent Contractor, you will be responsible for conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing and implementing behaviour support plans, and providing training and guidance to support networks. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring ethical, effective, and legally compliant behaviour support interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct behavioural assessments and develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
• Provide training and support to stakeholders, including families, carers, and other professionals.
• Deliver one-on-one behaviour support services to NDIS participants.
• Ensure all interventions align with evidence-based practices and quality assurance measures.
• Prepare reports for submission to the NDIS and other relevant stakeholders.
• Adhere to all ethical and legal obligations, including obtaining appropriate authorisation for restrictive practices in accordance with state and territory regulations.
• Participate in incident management processes, including reporting and debriefing where necessary.
• Maintain professional development and supervision as per NDIS and industry standards.

Requirements:

• A qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related field.
• Current registration (or ability to be registered) as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
• Experience in developing and implementing PBSPs.
• Knowledge of the NDIS framework, the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, and relevant legislation.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Public Liability Insurance (minimum $10 million) and Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum $5 million).
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check.
• Access to a reliable workspace, internet connection, and required technology.
