Company Description

Outcomes Connect Australia is an allied health practice which is committed to delivering best-practice, outcome-focused services. We are renowned for the exceptional support we provide and our commitment to ensuring our participants achieve their goals!

Our Positive Behaviour Support Model encompasses the multidisciplinary expertise of Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to understand the drivers of behaviours from a communication, sensory and environmental perspective.

Job Description

Outcomes Connect Australia (OCA) expanded into Queensland from Victoria in 2024. Thanks to our commitment to service excellence, demand for our services is increasing so we now need to recruit another Behaviour Support Practitioner living in Mount Gravatt or a surrounding suburb ideally.

We will consider an entry level practitioner (i.e. someone with a sound knowledge of The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework for reducing the use of restrictive practices) OR an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner, who also has a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, functional behavioural outcomes.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will...

  • Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Famework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
  • Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
  • Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

Why Join Us?

  • Fantastic team culture - a fun, supportive and quality-focused team which works together to achieve goals
  • Generous salary package - above award rates, rewards for outstanding work, great benefits (e.g. $600 annual Health and Wellbeing subsidy), access to salary packaging options and the latest technology to ensure you succeed
  • Personal and professional growth - supporting your ongoing professional development and enabling you to do the work you’re most inspired by through our professional development program, fortnightly PD sessions and weekly supervision with your Team Lead
  • Work-life balance - flexible work arrangements to plan your work to best suit your lifestyle while also meeting the needs of your team and clients

About you

  • Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) and confident that you will meet all compliance checks to legally work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider (e.g. obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Confident computer skills
  • Flawless writing skills
  • Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
