Are you a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with a passion for working on ultra-class equipment? R8D Industries is seeking dedicated professionals who love their craft to join our team in an onsite workshop environment in the heart of the mining industry.

About the Role:

• Position: Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
• Location: Onsite workshop environment
• Roster: 7/7
• Transport Options: BIBO or DIDO in own vehicle
• Industry: Mining Maintenance
• Rate: Up to $80 p/hr
• Superannuation: 12% paid on all hours worked
• Duration: Ongoing roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on ultra-class mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi tracks, and ancillary equipment)
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain accurate service records
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
• Essential proven experience with ultra-class mining equipment in a mining environment
• OEM Training (Preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be a hard worker who gets in and has a go – no rock kickers!
• Drivers Licence
• STD 11
• Coal Board Medical
• HRWL (Preferred)
• Air Conditioning Licence (Preferred)
• WAH
