We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Paediatric Therapy Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of neurodivergent children and teens.

Paediatric Therapy Assistant Role

As a Therapy Assistant, you will:

• Co-facilitate our weekly special interest clubs for neurodivergent children and teens. These clubs are shaped by participants’ interests (e.g., tech, video editing, robotics, geocaching, fishing, cooking, and more!) and are designed to support the development of social, emotional, communication, cognitive, and motor skills.

• Contribute to lesson planning by sharing your expertise and ideas to enhance the club experience.

• Potentially provide individual therapy sessions under supervision, with ongoing mentoring and professional development integrated into the role.

Requirements

Therapy Assistant:

• Qualification or experience in Therapy Assistance OR currently completing university training in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or a related field.
• Experience working with neurodivergent children and teenagers.
• A strong understanding of childhood development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work on a casual basis, with potential for permanent employment as the caseload grows.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience engaging with early childhood development.
• Previous experience in therapy group planning and facilitation.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Neurodivergent individuals are encouraged to apply!
