We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Allied Health Assistant for a Full-Time role at our state-of-the-art Vaucluse facility. This role offers a Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule.

The Opportunity

As a Full Time Allied Health Assistant, under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, you will assist with:

• Leading exercise, falls, and balance classes.
• Supporting therapy programs and promoting exercise programs, including hydrotherapy, stretch and balance classes.
• Encouraging independence in daily activities, including eating and drinking.
• Assisting with mobility, pain management, and pressure area care.
• Documenting progress closely with the Physiotherapist.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Aged care rehabilitation experience (gerontology a plus).
• Ability to set up and run physiotherapy programs.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (preferred) or currently studying Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.

Key to success in the position of Allied Health Assistant is the ability to be proactive, self-driven and competent in managing their time effectively coupled with the ability to be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of residents.
