Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Key Account Management
- Increase sales revenue by managing pharmacy channels and meeting/exceeding targets.
- Develop and implement strategic channel plans to expand market presence.
- Manage relationships with pharmacy banner groups at the head office level and drive execution of key commercial agreements.
- Prospect and secure additional banner groups to expand market reach.
- Onboard and manage key accounts, ensuring strong engagement and growth.
- Utilise existing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure product uptake and execution.
- Build and nurture sustainable business partnerships to boost brand loyalty and advocacy.
Strategy & Market Planning
- Develop sales strategies to increase product volumes and market penetration.
- Deliver on the business strategy, vision, and planning for pharmacy channels, ensuring commercial success.
- Collaborate with internal teams on strategies related to product development, pricing, and new product launches.
- Understand the competitive landscape and market trends, making recommendations to stay ahead in the pharmacy market.
- Work with other team members to ensure execution of strategies and identify opportunities or threats.
- Provide insights and feedback on marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness.
- Secure contract/tender opportunities within the pharmacy sector.
Execution & Performance Monitoring
- Communicate account progress and performance through monthly/quarterly reviews.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of business programmes and initiatives according to customer needs and objectives.
- Develop and maximise new and existing business opportunities in alignment with company goals.
About You
- 5+ years in Pharmaceutical sales or other key account management in FMCG industry experience at a national level
- Strong business acumen
- Proven success building the territory and overachievement of targets
- Drive and passion to work within a challenging environment
- Ability to develop and build strong customer relationships
- A strategic mindset and ability to think outside the square
- Passion for and for improving quality of life
