HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL1 level Assistant Director - Economics and Insights for a federal government agency located in SURRY HILLS NSW.
This role offers a unique opportunity to drive economic research and analysis to inform key policy decisions within the care economy.
About the Role:
- Conduct economic research and analysis to guide policy decisions, particularly in pricing and market interventions.
- Support the development and implementation of our client's Annual Pricing Review and Pricing Strategy.
- Analyse economic data to drive evidence-based decision-making on complex policies.
- Lead the creation of provider performance metrics and sector monitoring dashboards.
- Plan and execute economic analysis and research projects.
- Collaborate with government departments, academics, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to team leadership and foster a high-performing culture.

About You:
- Postgraduate degree in economics, econometrics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to address complex economic issues.
- Ability to synthesise complex information into clear policy advice.
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing analytical frameworks.
- Knowledge of care economy economics.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
- Passion for improving the participants in the disability sector.
