About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Vet Nurse / Cat Carer to join our team at Northern Districts Cattery in Wanneroo, WA. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to work around your schedule. As a Vet Nurse / Cat Carer, you will play a vital role in providing excellent care and support to our feline residents.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine check-ups, administer medications, and monitor the cats' health and wellbeing
• Ensure the cats' living spaces are clean, comfortable, and stimulating
• Interact with the cats to provide enrichment and interaction
• Liaise with cat owners and provide updates on their pets' progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Assist with the general operations of the cattery as needed

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in veterinary nursing or a related field
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or cattery
• Strong knowledge of feline healthcare, behaviour, and nutrition
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient nature when caring for animals
• Flexible and adaptable to accommodate the needs of the cattery
