TYRE FITTER / WHEEL ALIGNER / CUSTOMER SERVICE

Located in Meadows in the Adelaide Hills as part of a Family run Automotive Group, Meadows Wheel & Rim are looking for a experienced tyre fitter & wheel aligner with customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the automotive industry and a desire to provide exceptional customer service, be motivated, driven & a great communicator.

This role will have the opportunity to expand in the future for the right candidate. This role also requires onsite tyre fitting & punctures for trucks and farming equipment so a current drivers licence is essential. We have just commissioned a new service van with a truck fitting machine and all service and safety equipment on board. We have the ability to train for any aspects of the role not previously undertaken.

Our staff have all been expertly trained and are enthusiastic people who are committed and passionate about offering the right advice to all our customers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Check tyres, wheels and related parts for wear & defects.

• Remove, replace & refit tyres correctly.

• Balance and rotate wheels.

• Performing wheel alignments using specialised equipment.

• Repairing punctures in tubes and tubeless tyres.

• Inspecting vehicles for potential tyre and alignment issues.

• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Providing expert advice to customers on tyre and alignment services.

• Follow manufacturer’s and company’s procedure when performing work.

• Answer phone calls in a professional manner & quote customers as required.

• Achieve efficiency and productivity levels as specified by management while not compromising on quality of output.

• Keep work area clean, tidy and free of clutter. Remove any spills immediately to prevent accidents or environmental concerns.

• Maintain personal appearance and always wear the provided uniform.

• Be punctual.

• Maintain equipment & report any damages to management.

• Maintain stock report with all Tyres on hand.

• Ordering of tyres/tubes and consumables as required.

• The drive to grow sales.

• Money handling & processing Eftpos payments.

Key skills and Requirements:

• Experience & Familiarity with tyre fitting and wheel alignment equipment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of tyre and wheel products and services.

• Ability to operate tire mounting and balancing machines and wheel alignment equipment.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Physical ability to manoeuvre tyres and wheels and perform manual tasks.

• Driver's licence.
