About the Role – Tyre Technician
Our JAX Tyres & Auto store in Tweed Heads is seeking an experienced casual or full-time Tyre Technician/Wheel Aligner to join their team. In this role, you will identify and rectify faults found in customer tyres and wheels, such as wear and punctures through fitting, rotating, balancing, wheel alignments and general tyre repairs.
You will be working in a well-equipped and organised workshop, closely alongside your service advisor, head motor mechanic, motor mechanics and wheel aligners to deliver an industry leading level of customer service.
Your main day-to-day tasks would include
- Repairing and maintaining customer vehicles
- Carrying out tyre repairs, tyre fitting, wheel balancing and other wheel/suspension related services
- Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
- Providing advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles.
- Safely operating hoists
- Conducting road tests as required
About you
- MUST have 2 or more years' experience tyre fitting.
- Wheel Alignment experience and qualification (NSW) would be an advantage
- Possess expertise in the automotive and/or tyre industry.
- Exhibit excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Be physically fit
- Demonstrate knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) practices.
- Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
- MUST be available to work Saturdays (Overtime)
