About the role

Lighthouse Christian College - Keysborough is seeking a qualified and passionate Classroom Teacher (Primary) to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term, part-time basis. As a primary school teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our students, fostering their academic, social and personal development in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of your students
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive, productive learning environment
• Provide personalized support and feedback to help each student reach their full potential
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our educational program
• Actively participate in school events, extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities
• Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a focus on primary teaching
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering a Christ-centered, nurturing learning environment
• Familiarity with the Australian Curriculum and Victorian teaching standards
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
