The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as an integral part of the finance team, you will be responsible for partnering with directors and operations to provide timely management reporting and financials, expert advice, analysis, ongoing support, and guidance to drive performance and profitability of the business and overall business strategy.

Your attention to detail and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis
• Preparing financial statements for Management Team
• Ensuring accuracy of financial data across the financial team
• Business partnering with Project Managers and Operations Directors
• Analyse and present data and financial information to aid strategic decision making
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet and financial transactions
• Posting End of month journals
• General ledger maintenance
• Uploading and reporting on operational Project budgets
• Conducts financial investigations and prepared Operational financial reports
• Examines operating costs and organisations income and expenditure
• Assist with inventory reporting to identify risks or opportunities.
• Reconcile weekly sales data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and lodge compliance reports, including BAS, Payroll Tax, and Work Cover, ensuring all statutory obligations are met

About You

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and CA/CPA qualified
• Solid experience in a previous financial/management accounting role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal staff, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standard of quality.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to prioritise tasks independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel - Xero is beneficial
• A solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, always looking for ways to optimise processes and contribute to the company's growth and success.
