We're seeking a Buyers Assistant/Purchasing and Production Officer for a Victorian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged students. Their work ensures that all children can attend school with dignity, comfort, and the resources they need to succeed.

Reporting to the Purchasing & Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing procurement, stock levels, and coordinating embroidery production. This is a crucial role that ensures the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team leader to streamline procurement and embroidery processes
• Maintain stock levels, aligning with seasonal demands
• Raise and manage purchase orders for timely stock delivery
• Coordinate with external embroidery suppliers to track production
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Assist with customer phone inquiries and occasional customer service support
• Ensure compliance with procurement and pricing policies

• Pay rate: $36-38ph + super
• Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm
• Location: Dandenong location, free parking available

Skills & Experience Needed:

• At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing, buying, or similar role.
• Experience with inventory software (like ERP systems) to track stock.
• Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Great communication & teamwork skills to work across different teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (highly desirable)
