Position Description
Support the CEO in working with the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Management Teams by implementing approved sales and marketing activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Sales & Marketing function in Australia and New Zealand (including Pacific Islands) and implementing the strategy and direction for the function, as provided by the CEO. The role is divided across sales and marketing of Cloudcase’s offerings.. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Sales & Marketing
- Support and implement the approved sales and marketing strategy for the company’s products, as directed by the CEO, including pricing and customer service policies and advertising programs.
- Market and sell the Cloudcase Software Platform and associated services.
- Identify potential markets for the company’s products as well as monitor and analyse customer feedback and market data to improve the same.
- Develop sales and marketing action plans that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments to implement and achieve sales to identified propsects.
- Plan and implement approved marketing programs (campaigns) to generate interest in, and sales of, the company’s products and services.
- Execute a program for sales and market research and analysis including market segments, buying trends and competitor analysis. Gather, organise, analyse, and provide this information to the CEO.
- Oversee and verify reporting of sales and marketing activities for your area / region, including leads generated and tracking reports, sales orders received, sales by product, backlog reports and customer lists. Conduct regular and ad hoc reporting appropriate to the content being tracked.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to discuss selection of sales and marketing media, creation of product marketing artefacts, and other relevant sales and marketing-related
Stakeholder Management
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications.
- Provide recommendations for improving or adding to Cloudcase product designs and assist with product development and market testing.
- Support the CEO in maintaining relationships with advertising agencies, public relations firms, and market research firms. Supporting Information This role is integral to our business operations as the company progresses through its current growth phase. A unique blend of specialist skill sets is envisaged as necessary to perform the role in an efficient and effective manner.
To support the company’s strong growth trajectory, the Senior Business Development Manager will be required to be commercially competent with a high degree of commercial and sales literacy. Attention to detail is key. They will support the development of new business proposals.
The incumbent will be required to at times to travel both domestically and internationally to meet with existing or prospective clients, third parties, or as otherwise directed by the CEO. The role will be supported by key performance indicators as designed and reviewed by the reporting manager.
The role can be based in Sydney (Primarily) with the option of also working in Brisbane and Melbourne (Via a hybrid / remote working arrangement).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Senior Business Development Manager is expected to have:
- Minimum 5 years’ of enterprise sales, working in banking and financial services software solutions.
- The ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to prospecting for new business opportunities across both new and existing markets.
- A relationship building and trust based sales approach, while also demonstrated the required ‘hunger’ to succeed in a competitive market.
- Proven ability to provide accurate and ‘real time’ reporting across all stages of the sales process to the Cloudcase CEO.
- Experience working in sales, credit and operations in banking and financial services is highly desirable.
- Superior analytical abilities with proven critical thinking skills.
- Comfortable working with limited supervision.
- An entrepreneurial mindset.
- Superior capabilities communicating with confidence and presence at the executive level. And the ability to work constructively with different styles of internal Cloudcase management and potential client representatives.
- Strong commercial acumen skills.
