A great opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join for a short-term assignment until 30 June 2025.
About the role:
- The Finance Officer is required to provide detailed technical, operational support, and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning and project management.
- Delivering financial management services including procurement, sourcing, purchasing, acquittals, accruals and other services.
- Prioritising quality assurance, governance, and the timeliness and quality of goods and services provided for staff.
- Improving outcomes for staff through contract management, innovation and collaboration with Agency teams.
- Engaging other finance and procurement functions, sharing information, tools and systems.
- Leading the financial management of staff supports, month-end financial reporting and OAAI budgeting.
About you:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex operational challenges.
- The ability to manage workflows, respond to escalations, and support process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to collaborate across teams and external groups.
- Experience in project management, data analysis, and performance measurement.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Benefits:
- ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- Temporary assignment until 30 June 2025
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Locations- Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Parramatta, Adelaide and Newcastle + hybrid working from home options
- $60.26 per hour + Super
