About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Contract Bookkeeper in North Fremantle, WA.
This is a contract role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your needs.
What you'll be doing
- Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, cashflows, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Working directly with an accountant
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide insightful analysis to management
- Preparing BAS
- Implement and maintain efficient accounting policies, processes, and controls
- Provide general administrative support as required
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as Xero as well as Microsoft etc
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- working to a timeframe and deadline
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred
