We are looking for an experienced Claims Coordinator to join our Brisbane office focusing on Insurance related residential, commercial and strata building works. The successful candidate will deliver high quality customer service to both internal and external clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answering large volume of incoming calls from various key stakeholders
  • Monitor and process enquiries within shared inboxes
  • Ensure all correspondence and KPI alerts are actioned via client portals and internal systems
  • Conduct triage phone calls with customers
  • Maintain weekly communication updates to all key stakeholders – including Customers, clients, brokers, contractors and internal staff
  • Conduct weekly courtesy calls to ensure clients and property owners are updated on a regular basis
  • Routinely follow up outstanding checklist items
  • Ensure all claims in Prime (Ezy Projects Claims portal) and client portals are updated on a weekly basis
  • Apply and process initial QBCC/HOW insurance where applicable
  • Apply for building approval when required on specific claims
  • Proactively monitor and maintain portfolio using internal and client platforms including progressing claim
  • Assist with the set-up and processing of WIP meetings
  • Assist with on-boarding required subcontractors
  • Liaise with and support site supervisors in managing their portfolio of jobs
  • Prepare minutes for meetings as required
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail and mail
  • Arrange make safes and engage specialist services as required by monitoring and proactively following up on each engagement

Skills

To be successful in this role you will have to:

  • Good understating of the MS Suite of Products including basic Excel
  • Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
  • Team player who can also work autonomously
  • Ability to problem-solve issues
  • Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and standards

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Insurance background (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Ability to read and write in English and the ability to give and receive instruction
  • Ability to pass required background checks as well as per-employment drug and alcohol screening
