About the role
Fixed term temporary full time and part time opportunity to contribute to patient care within STARS by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of a pharmacist. Undertake a range of activities to assist in the provision of an efficient and effective pharmacy service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide education to patients on the use of a defined range of medications, medication aids and devices under the guidance of a pharmacist.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in a clinical support capacity, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist conforming to current legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Use advanced knowledge of the health care system, advanced computer literacy, basic anatomy, general medical conditions and medical terminology.
- Commit to ongoing training and development activities and participate in departmental training and education activities.
