About the role
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving business improvement initiatives across the PTA by engaging with stakeholders to identify, document, and define business requirements. The position ensures that business needs are aligned with the PTA's IT strategy, delivering expert advice and insights to support operational objectives. The role involves analysing complex business issues, developing information systems, and facilitating successful outcomes across various business and IT projects. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst is accountable for creating and maintaining business analysis procedures and standards, ensuring consistent application across the organisation.
A key aspect of this role is stakeholder engagement and change management, where the Senior Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business units and IT teams. The incumbent builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, negotiates outcomes, and provides advice on business impact assessments and change management plans. The role also involves identifying opportunities to leverage technology and data for business improvements, supporting projects from inception to delivery, and staying informed on best practice frameworks and industry trends to drive continuous organisational enhancement.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience in scoping, assessing, and delivering business requirements and process improvements across complex projects.
- Skilled in both plan-driven (Waterfall) and agile/iterative (SCRUM) approaches, selecting appropriate methods and tools.
- Strong ability to design solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and align IT strategies with business needs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, present complex information, and produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Proven expertise in problem-solving, strategic analysis, and managing multiple priorities to achieve business outcomes.
