About the Position
The City is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support development and implementation of the City’s enterprise and line of business information systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving maximum return from the City’s information systems, ensuring efficient integration and optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the business analysis approach and resulting deliverables provide continuous improvement outcomes using industry standard methodologies and toolsets.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to gain a strong appreciation of their needs; and transition ideas and concepts into achievable deliverables.
- Facilitate, continually refine, document, monitor and control business, user and technical requirements to ensure alignment with corporate and project goals.
- Undertake discovery activities to clarify current state requirements and target possible future state opportunities.
- Seek optimal answers to more difficult questions that test, the known limits of the current and proposed software platforms; as well as the capabilities required to deliver the understood future state.
- Work collaboratively to develop high quality solutions requirement documents that will clarify, support and expedite the vision of different project initiative.
About You
You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst with business acumen and experience in software implementation.
Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as information systems, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Senior Business Analyst or a Business Analyst with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working on multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Advanced experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in business analysis methodologies, mapping current/future state, business requirements identification, options evaluation and business case development.
- Strong communicator in both written and verbal formats, with a proven ability to comfortably communicate technical and business concepts and articulate business needs.
- Well developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to undertake consultation, collaboration and presentations and to build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
