The opportunity

A newly developed role within a busy team of compliance and governance experts in, the Quality Officer assists with a broad range of activities.

Key accountabilities include

  • Ensure quality systems, registers and documentation are fit-for-purpose and updated as needed.
  • Identify, analyse, evaluate and report on policy documents, maintaining complete and accurate data within the Quality Register
  • Ensure business processes are regularly reviewed, applied and cascaded throughout Murray PHN’s systems and documentation
  • Provide support, direction and advice to internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of the Quality Management Framework.
  • Work with stakeholders to review, develop, and embed quality processes ensuring consistency of quality of information within the quality registers.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of Quality Management framework, processes and documentation

About you

The role requires a collaborative person with a high level of cross-functional communication to support the immediate team and our internal stakeholders navigate, at times, complex systems and processes. There are opportunities for learning and innovation for someone with knowledge of contemporary quality principles.

Key capabilities include

  • Relevant qualification in Quality Management and / or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • High attention to detail and consistency in work outputs with demonstrated skill in monitoring, evaluating and reporting within a quality assurance framework.
  • Sound engagement skills with your team and stakeholders, independently managing requests and queries.
  • High level written communication skills to assist in the preparation of reports, briefs and training.

About Murray Primary Health Network

Murray PHN (Primary Health Network) commenced on 1 July 2015 as a part of the national network of 31 PHNs across Australia, which replaced the Medicare Local program.

Murray PHN works closely with the health system to identify areas to improve, either through the better coordination and support of health services or by commissioning new services to address needs.

The catchment of Murray PHN is significant in both size and diversity. Spanning northern Victoria, and including Albury, NSW, the Murray PHN covers an area of almost 100,000 square km and it will impact health services that are accessed by more than 563,000 people.

The Australian Government has identified national objectives and priority areas for PHNs. These frame the focus of Murray PHN and will be guided by both community and clinical input to improve health outcomes.
