About the Role

Macquarie University's Next Generation Digital Learning Experience (NGDLE) Program is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to support the Program Manager in driving efficient and effective project and program delivery, ensuring successful transformation outcomes across the University. This program is focused on transforming the digital education landscape by providing a seamless, personalised, and data-driven learning experience that enhances student engagement, improves learning outcomes, and empowers academic staff to deliver high-quality education.

You will:

  • Collaborate with and support Program/Project Managers in setting up, monitoring, and tracking dashboards for the analysis and reporting of project performance and progress.
  • Supporting identification of risks and issues and contributing to resolutions
  • Drafting and review of relevant artefacts relevant to project management delivery to support informed decision making and planning, including conducting analysis and research, processes and procedures to provide accurate, timely and informative project and project delivery status reporting and risk/issues management.
  • Oversee the recruitment, procurement, and staff onboarding activities for Digital Transformation, ensuring compliance with the University's policies and procedures.
  • Collate information, draft, and prepare executive communications and presentations, as required, including for project steering committees and program boards.
  • Engage with the relevant stakeholders to provide formal and informal communications regarding project status, issues and compliance as well as facilitate the exchange of information across working groups.
  • Manage and maintain the program wide document repository ensuring that all documents are stored in a logical and consistent manner so that they can be easily found in the future.

About You

You will have good understanding of project management and risk management fundamentals, a clear understanding of the overall requirements for coordination, integration of information in a complex and broad portfolio environment. You will have excellent verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to convey information effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.

Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Understanding of project management and risk management fundamentals.
  • Experience working with one or more project management methodologies (such as Agile, PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a clear understanding of the overall requirements for coordination, integration of information in a complex and broad portfolio environment.
  • Experience in developing reports and dashboards and use of reporting tools to generate actionable insights and informed recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
