About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Veterinary Administration at the University of Sydney. The Sydney School of Veterinary Science (SSVS), which is ranked as #1 in Australia and is an internationally renowned provider of education and research in the veterinary profession. The School is located on two campuses, Camperdown and Camden and is proud to have 3 teaching hospitals. The Senior Project Officer - Accreditation plays a pivotal role in leading the project management efforts in the School's preparation for the onsite global re-accreditation visit with Australian Veterinary Board Council (AVBC), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

This position works closely with the Head of School/Dean and School Senior Management team to ensure the successful coordination and execution of activities in meeting all accreditation standards and site visit requirements.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of accreditation processes. The successful candidate will be the central point of contact across a number of teams, responsible for coordinating various activities ensuring smooth communication and collaboration among teams.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead and manage accreditation readiness projects to completion and post onsite reaccreditation visit
  • coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and evidence to address all accreditation standards
  • conduct gap analyses and identify areas of risk ensuring milestones are met and provide proactive solutions
  • prepare and submit accreditation reports and documentation
