Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Procurement Officer (Recruitment) to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.

About the role

As a Procurement Officer, you will be part of a team responsible for business partnering with internal Agency stakeholders to support the procurement of Labour Hire Workers. In addition, your key duties are as follow:

• Ensure that Labour Hire Workers are engaged through agreed procurement channels and tracked throughout the Workforce Procurement process.
• Develop procurement documentation.
• Collate candidate packages for assessment by the requesting business area.
• Raise contracts and purchase orders.
• Maintain a shared database.
• Respond to enquiries as an SME.
• Review all documentation received in for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the timely on-boarding of successful candidates.
• Maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Experience of procurement / recruitment processes in a government setting.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and an ability to multitask in a changing, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems.

• $55.24 per hour + super
