About the role

Join Balanz Banking Solutions and Advice' as an Agri Debt Analyst. In this full-time role based in Townsville, QLD, you will be responsible for providing strategic and analytical support to our agribusiness lending team. As a key member of our Banking - Business team, you will play a vital role in helping our clients in the agricultural sector achieve their financial goals.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and due diligence on prospective and existing agricultural lending clients
• Prepare comprehensive credit assessment reports and recommendations for the lending committee
• Monitor the performance of the agribusiness loan portfolio and identify risks or opportunities
• Support the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures for the agricultural lending segment
• Collaborate closely with relationship managers and other stakeholders to deliver tailored banking solutions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices to provide value-added insights

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in credit analysis or agribusiness banking
• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector, including commodity markets, production cycles and risk factors
• Proficiency in financial modelling, cash flow analysis and credit risk assessment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
