As a Senior Economic Development Officer, you contribute to the State Development team by supporting responsible economic development and building livable communities. You will assist to connect industry, businesses, community, and government at all levels to create place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths and unlock sustainable growth.

Your responsibilities
• Contribute to a productive office environment by adopting North Queensland office team values and behaviors.
• Assist and engage in the promotion of regional businesses, initiatives, and departmental service offerings to support regional economic growth and supply chain development
• Assist and engage in the coordination and delivery of departmental programs, industry initiatives and events, including the ability to confidently deliver workshops and present at industry events
• Facilitate connections across government and non-government agencies to progress regional projects and growth opportunities
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and other government agencies to support the delivery of regional outcomes
• Support regional leadership and capacity building to deliver on economic priorities of regional communities, including the Local Economic Opportunities Network, and engagement with local governments
• Identify opportunities and contribute positively to team activities including project planning and implementation
