About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Battery Wholesalers in Rockingham, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their purchasing decisions.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assisting customers in finding and selecting products that meet their needs
• Assisting with the installation of car batteries, motor cycles, mobility scooters etc
• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently with use of EFTPOS
• Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing retail space
• Restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed
• Answering customer inquiries and addressing any concerns

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the battery industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers of all ages
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service
• Basic numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash and process transactions
• Ability to work Saturday mornings
• Physical capacity for lifting and carrying batteries up to 25kg
