THE ROLE

As the assistant manager, you will have a breadth of autonomy over your own client portfolio, structuring things how you want them to be, supporting and mentoring a team of junior accountants, and driving the growth of your portfolio in line with the wider goals of the firm.

Some of your duties will include:

• Research on complex tax issues for private and corporate clients
• Preparation and presentation of tax matters
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns, & Financial Statements for all types of entities.
• Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
• Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
• Managing and mentoring junior accountants

THE INDIVIDUAL

A suitable candidate will possess the following:

• 5+ years of experience in Business Services & Tax in an Australian accounting firm
• CA/CPA qualifications, or currently studying (clawbacks also paid for if required)
• Genuine interest and or qualifications in tax
• Excellent relationship management skills with various client profiles
• Strong leadership skills and natural mentorship ability
• Exceptional interpersonal skills- both written & verbal
• Ability to handle competing priorities in a dynamic environment
