The opportunity
Join the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) as a Digital Content & Design professional. This part-time role (15-22 hours per week), working with our Digital Content Manager, is offered to those with unrestricted working rights in Australia on a remote working basis. This role will see you utilise your expertise in web and interaction design to create engaging digital and print content for us.
ICB is based in Melbourne, Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and design high-quality digital content for ICB's website, newsletter publications and social media channels
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly layouts, graphics, and illustrations to support ICB's online presence, as well as print media
- Collaborate with the Support and Resources and Executive Leadership teams to ensure digital and print assets align with ICB's brand guidelines, style guides and messaging.
- In conjunction with the support and resources team develop professional journals and newsletters including publication and distribution
- Check proofs and layouts for errors and make corrections where necessary
- Monitor and fix broken website links and other irregularities that may occur on ICB's website
- Ensure publications are distributed in a timely fashion to meet determined deadlines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends and technologies to continuously improve the Institute's digital offerings
- Provide support and guidance to other team members on design-related tasks and projects
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
What we're looking for
- Proven & demonstrated experience in web and interaction design and/or development and desktop publishing. Availability of a recent folio of work required
- Proficiency in using design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop
- High proficiency of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Intermediate to advanced experience with CMS & CRM systems, Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with PHP & Javascript, MailChimp (or similar) and Google Analytics a distinct advantage
- Excellent eye for detail and a keen sense of aesthetics
- Strong English language writing skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously to achieve effect timeline management
- A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and friendly disposition, with a commitment to setting high standards of delivery.
