Emerald is located 300kms inland from the Capricorn Coast and has a population of 15,000. Our Emerald Hospital is a 36-bed facility with two operating theatres and a team of around 160 staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care.

About the role:

The Associate Clinical Nurse Consultant (A/CNC) (Clinical Flow Coordinator) is directly responsible for leading nursing and midwifery activities for the given shift across the Emerald hospital emergency department, inpatient unit areas and nursing services to ensure delivery of safe patient care.

About you:
  • Hold qualifications and current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) registration as a Registered Nurse or Dual Registered Midwife
  • A relevant post-graduate qualification would be well regarded.
  • During periods of low patient demand, be able to work collaboratively as a team member in the general ward or other areas of the Emerald Hospital within their scope of practice.
  • Be able to participate in other duties as required by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Unit Manager due to changing organisational/service delivery environments.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of $131,170 per annum is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate of $61.20 per hour
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
