About us:
Emerald Hospital is located 300kms west of the Queensland coastline. The population of the surrounding community is approximately 28,000 with 15,000 at Emerald. There are two small hospitals within 100kms, located at Blackwater and Springsure.
Emerald Hospital is a 36-bed facility, has two operating theatres and approximately 160 staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care. 300 to 400 babies are born at the Emerald Hospital each year. Emerald Hospital has recently obtained accreditation for medical officer training for the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
About the role:
An opportunity exists within our health care facility for an Associate Clinical Nurse Consultant (A/CNC) Clinical Flow Coordinator for the Emerald hospital facility. The Clinical Flow Coordinator is directly responsible for providing oversight, leadership, communication, and coordination of nursing/midwifery activities for the given shift across the Emerald hospital emergency department, inpatient unit areas and nursing services to ensure delivery of safe patient care.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s and professional registration requirements with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). A minimum of Registered Nurse or Dual Registered Midwife.
While not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification would be well regarded.
Position specific requirements: In times of low patient demand the incumbent will be required to work collaboratively as a team member in the general ward or other areas of the Emerald Hospital within their scope of practice.
- This position may be required to participate in other duties as required by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Unit Manager due to changing organisational/service delivery environments.

Total remuneration value of $131,170 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate of $61.20 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
