The Role

The School Locker is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Payroll Officer to join our Head Office team based in Eight Mile Plains. This is a full time role with opportunity to grow in a fast paced company that focuses on promoting from within. There will be comprehensive on the job training and support provided. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a growing organisation and work within a highly collaborative and supportive team.

The Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Processing end to end weekly payroll using an external payroll provider
• New starter onboarding and exiting
• Maintaining employee records and variations to employment
• Working closely with stakeholders such as Store Managers and Area Managers to help resolve payroll queries and support
• Maintaining existing HR and employment policies and guidelines
• Managing all internal HR issues in the business
• Providing advice and support to Management on all HR issues

• strong written and verbal communication skills
• a willingness to take on additional tasks across the broader finance team as required
• the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• SAM and Preceda experience (preferred but not essential)
• previous experience in a Payroll or finance team role (preferred but not essential)
